What is a resume?
+ marketing tool that highlights skills, knowledge, and expertise
+ it should be a concise, easy to read document
+ used to get an interview
+ it is a summary of your qualifications, education, experience, and skills

Components of a resume:
+ contact information - permanent and temporary address, email (should be a professional email address), cell and home telephone numbers
+ objective - what you're looking for
+ education - college, GPA (above 3.0)
+ work experience - (organizations may replace if necessary)
+ activites, professional affiliations, availability, relevant courses
+ honors - e.g. Dean's List, HOPE Scholarship
+ computer skills - e.g. excel, word, outlook, matlab, autocad, ProE
+ skills - e.g. teamwork, communication, sales
+ reference sheet separate, yet handy
