Aspire.
Not only will you be supported in your aspirations, but you can also inspire others through SWE career guidance programs. Georgia Southern's SWE hosts an annual "Building Your DREAMS Fair" in an effort to show middle school aged children that science, math, and engineering can be fun and is an ever growing career area. We also participate in several events throughout the year, such as Mutt Strutt in Savannah, Relay for Life, science experiments with the Boys and Girls Club of Statesboro, and renovating a women's shelter room.
Advance.
SWE collegiate membership is an excellent resource for preparing you for your future. You will network with practicing women engineers, build the business skills you will need, and develop leadership and management abilities through committee and collegiate leader involvement. Confident with your preparation, SWE has a valuable resource for finding the ideal job. SWE Career Center houses hundreds of internship and full time job opportunities and a résumé bank exclusively for SWE members.
Achieve.
The SWE National Conference in the fall, and annual region conferences in the winter, offer collegiate members camaraderie, exchange of ideas with other collegiate members, development seminars, access to distinguished women engineers, and opportunities to meet leading employers with challenging internships and permanent positions.
